Summer Rains...

Here at last
the fairy has tilted and dropped
the pot of water she was carrying up,
up into the paradise
to take a relaxed bath
far from our eyes,
but she dropped all
creating lightning and loud thunder…

It washed all forest trees.
Accompanied by strong breeze
it lashed our homes,
lanes and by lanes turned into streams,
the kids went gaga with joy,
the girls felt though a bit shy.

The scorching sun,
the dictator of the summer,
has lost his reign.
The rain with its showers of love
is the new benign ruler;
new flowers blossom on each plant and creeper.

The river is in spate,
the distant mountains create
misty aura as if around the heads of many a saint.
The clouds dress up the sky
in different colours,
with the rainbow as the necklace.
Nature looks radiant and fresh.

Summer rains bring new life at every spot,
thanks to the fairy who tilted her golden pot…
