A Woman Is...

Mesmerized by her liquid eyes
the ancients called her a deity,
scared of her immense power
some stood before her to worship.

Unmatched by her love and care
she is adored as a mother,
a playmate as a sister and a soul mate as wife,
she wipes everybody’s tears and shares everybody’s grief

To many she is a silhouette of an hour-glass,
but when the hour is divided into minutes, seconds
and minute moments, she occupies the eternity,
transcending base desires, lust and human frailty

A woman is not just a showcase of a home,
a bath-tub doll, but a life-line of the creation,
she is not the fuel to keep the passion burning
but the morning rays to keep the days glowing!

A woman is a flower of the paradise,
ever to remain fresh and never to wither,
ever to spread the fragrance of love
and be the source of infinite pleasure!

Comment Nice one !By these virtues she is become a heavenly object on this earth. Without woman the world is a lonely place. No charm ! No love ! No reproduction.Where does the life reside without a woman ?We can't imagine someone's bring up without her.Griefs and sorrows she bears over herself instead of tears. All humanity is owed too much of her work & actions.Thank you Mallick Ji.You have so kindly noticed the qualities of a woman.
Nevertheless,a man is so cruel with her in specially home vengeance or case of rape.I don't find myself to understand it.Dear Kumar Ji !Wonderful creation of poetry ! Many many thanks for lovely thoughts ! I liked it.Thanks again.
