Time is running out. Actually, time has been running out for a long time. Because of the communists in Bengal, Mulayam, Mayawati in UP, Lalu Prasad in Bihar. All banking on vote banks to catapault to power. Some years back I read modern history of Japan to learn, once Japan decided to abolish caste system, they just took 3 years! Just 3 years! What our politicians have done? They have gone beyond the constitution and want quota system continued. A better measure is to teach backward classes free and progressively give higher stipends and establish hostels for them, but no quota or reservations please. Quota system is retro caste system, which is very dangerous. In the corporate environment, every corporate house should be asked to adopt villages for educating backward classes and poor of the higher classes. This way corporate houses will get a chance to get trained manpower for their industry. Government also should treat backward classes and poor of the higher classes similarly. Otherwise, time will run out and before completion of a century of independence we will be practically playthings of multinationals as happened when East India Company converted themselves from traders to rulers.
