A Journalist by profession, Prince Dhanta is presently working with the Hindustan Times, India's leading English daily, stationed at Chandigarh. He is a Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC) from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.He has no formal training in cartooning. However, when he started frequenting the newsrooms he developed interest in the art of cartooning for his personal satisfaction. After joining the media industry he realized the value of cartoons in newspapers, especially those by R K Laxman whom he eventually met and spent three hours with him.
