Dr. Manchi Sarat Babu

Kurnool,India

I was actually born on 11 June 1954 but my father increased my age while admitting me in a high school in Guntur. I discontinued my studies (SSLC) while studying and went to Srikakulam to join and work with Naxalites in 1968. I worked with them till 1973 and did not like their way of working for the society. I came back to Guntur. My father wanted me to continue my studies so I started my education with SSC in 1974. I studied B. Sc (BZC) at Silver Jubilee Government College, Kurnool. I got married in 1980 and started MA (English) at Nagarjuna University, Guntur. I gave tuition to my students in English till I became a lecturer at Jawahar Bharathi (College) for two years meanwhile I got the post of a lecturer at Government Degree College. I studied various books on politics, reigions, philosophy, psychology, sociology, history and other topics. I became an atheist and wanted to work for society to unite all the people of all the world and get them educated. I got 9 books, 16 papers published and a few poems. I became a trainer in teaching English to my fellow lecturers. I trained employees and students in soft skills apart from teaching them English after my friends and I got trained in teaching English a better way by Mr. George Bishop and Miss Carole Beauclerk. I did PGDTE at CIEFL, Hyderabad in 1988. I taught English Language and Literature to the students of MA since I did M. Phil. on Girish Karnad at Nagarjuna University guided by Prof. V. Rangan in 1993 and Ph. D. on Mohan Rakesh, Vijay Tendulkar, Badal Sircar and Girish Karnad guided by Prof. K. Venkat Reddy in 1996. I retired from my job in 2010. I started my effort to have a seminar on Transactional Analysis but got my head injured on 11 August 2011. Because of a good doctor, I recovered from it and revived my memory to a large extent. I still want to work with your journal as suggested by Dr. T. Sai Chandra Mouli while seeing his nice paper on Sri Ravuri Bharadwaja.
