Eternity's Moments

  I hold your moment here
Emerging
Like wide wonder
From the sea
Your long moment of waves
Your moment
For leaving the sands
Behind,
All those stretching sands,
Drawn out, yawning
Through future years!
As the waves sing on
Timelessly, hurting the heart
With pain and joy,
As silences fall away,
I welcome you
To this world of mine!
Come, my man of tomorrow
I’ve harnessed in my arms
Secrets of the sea,
I’ve garnered laughter!
Let there be union of elements
Great and enduring,
Overwhelming even
Like birth,
Let earth and sky
Come together
In ageless bonding
Flooding and rejoicing
In you!
And let there be waves
More waves than you can hold
Forever waves
To carry you away
And on!
Yes, come to me,
Son of mine
Keep getting closer
For the sea and I
Will build your joys together,
Come and let me hand you over
To the dreams we have reared.
