Joy Meets Its Maker
by Sugandha Indulkar Bookmark and Share

As innocent as a child who wades into the arms
Of his welcoming mother,
As innocent as the smile in her happy eyes
As innocent as the blue sea beyond
As innocent as the timeless horizon further

Joy is one to one and all
Full of mirth and innocence
Given in to life’s happy hours
Gleefully, merrily they slip by
As days into weeks,
Weeks into months
And months into years…

Here and now as the child meets his mother
Joy meets its Maker
