Saraswati Puja...
In our Indian calendar Basant Panchami is an auspicious day. The spring, the queen of seasons, is at its infancy and the nature is bubbling with joys and happiness. The trees and the creepers are ladden with flowers. There is joy all around. There is love in the air. There is music in the air. The sun is mild and the morning breeze is soothing. To celebrate this lovely nature, there is great need of the power of mind, there is need of right judgement and there is need of right learning. It is needless to say that Basant Panchami provides an opportunity to worship goddess Saraswati, the embodiment of wisdom, virtue, learning, so as to partake in the celebration of life. Let us therefore chant together and seek Ma saraswati's blessings to us and to the world at large:
Ya devi sarvabhuteshu vidyarupen samsthitah
(We salute the goddess again and again
Ya devi sarvabhuteshu jnanrepuen samsthitah
(We salute the goddess again and again
May all of us pray for Ma Saraswati's blessings to shower on this earth. |
