The Truth of Life
by Dr. Vijay Kumar Roy Bookmark and Share

Life is full of wonders and complexities. Sometimes we experience the comfort of the bed of roses and sometimes we struggle for peace, fraternity and prosperity. Sometimes we learn essential lessons from the eternal agents of the universe and sometimes we fight for unattainable objects. We forget to believe in the truth of life and bewilder from our mission. Life should be made worth-living. It can be enjoyed, because joy is attainable. The condition is that our eyes should be kept open.

The most beautiful thing gifted by the Almighty to us is our perception. If it goes in the positive direction, it provides all that makes life worth-living. This conviction can outpour all joys desired in our life. This faith helps in obtaining the essence of life – the goal of human existence.

Human life is an opportunity to study and cherish all that our vision yields. Francis Bacon rightly says: “Studies serve for delight”. And the delight that creates a beautiful world “obliterates” all negative “considerations” (Keats). Though what we call negative is meant for maintaining balance in nature, and it is the balance that is the basis of all existence and so their importance. Understanding the mystery of existence of living beings and non-living entities leads us to search for the ultimate truth. On the wings of beauty, we can achieve it. And love is the prime force to engender beauty in us. Without a vehicle it is difficult to travel a long distance. So it is better to travel on the vehicle of beauty driven by love to achieve our destined destination – the Truth.
