Comment Equation 4 is almost correct. ct to be a distance in the real universe must be squared.

x^2+y^2+z^2 = (ct)^2

Now you get the hypotenuse or radius of the light sphere for distance which is real. Velocity of the light sphere above is valid when the source has velocity = 0 and is at the origin. if the source is moving then you have to move the origin of the expanding light sphere with the source and then the above equation still applies.
