Saugata Chakraborty: They Go To Sleep

Only a few books are there in my stock that comprise of short fiction.

Recently, I have discovered my taste for such literary wealth as short narratives are meant to convey a lot in few words. The latest one in the list is #TheyGoSleep by Saugata Chakraborty which was a fabulous read. It's a collection of a dozen of short stories from different genres especially suspense thrillers. The title of the book is based upon the first narrative which is a murder mystery.

The author has used his unique way of challenging the readers to conclude some endings by themselves.

Some stories deserves to be compiled as a full length novel. Author's crisp writing style is fabulous. Some of the stories compel the readers think a lot and some others are hair raising. Few of these that caught my special attention were 'Six Days, Seven Lives', 'The Other Side' and 'The Short Lives of Shazia Sultana'.

The vocabulary and narrative style take the book to the literary heights. Cover of the book is quite alluring and captive due to its dark background.

Overall, the book is worth reading and I would love to recommend it to the readers who love to read short fiction.

My rating to the book: 4*/5
