Creator of the Inexhaustible

The highest form of intelligence is expressed in human life. So we believe. But what is actually seen in this world of delusion – Each individual soul continuously at war with another individual soul. ‘Me and Mine’ prevail over common good. For example, this is why a fair market place has given way to share markets having become a spinning toy to play with in speculation. Or is this also an expression of the Inexhaustible?

My Aadhar Card was made some 15 years ago. Mr. Nandan Nilekani of Infosys fame conceptualized this project. Then, they were just collecting Finger Prints. It was only after some more years, they started to collect eye Iris scan. Retina mapping is still years away. Patterns on different parts of body are unique to each individual. There are people claiming expertise over palmistry and face reading. And I can withdraw the money from the bank on the basis of signatures on the cheque. So can anybody else.

Divine artistry goes beyond seeing diversity merely as a biological marvel. What lies at the heart of this deliberate and infinite uniqueness is magnificence of the Divine. Seventh Chapter and onwards, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna – “Vasudavah Sarvam Iti”. I am the source and essence of all existence. Vasudeva is all and everything. And then he tells, “Pashya Me Partha Rupaani…. Nana Varna Akritini Cha” Behold this unlimited variety. “Tejah Mayam Vishwam Anantam” – This is but a spark of my opulence!

Sat-Chita-Anand – Krishna is the embodiment of Absolute Knowledge; Absolute Beauty; and Absolute Joy. He is absolutely original. Krishna’s creativity is inexhaustible. There is no need for him to repeat himself. He is not a shopkeeper who sells of the shelf; or a machine that produces identical goods. Sarva Karan Karnam – He is the cause of all causes. Prabhavam- Creation is the expression of His supreme wisdom. Since times immemorial, no two souls are identical. He doesn’t need to use moulds. “Maya Adhyakshen Prakritih – This material nature is my energy and works under my directions”. Hence, Nature too reflects Krishna’s limitless opulence; and with total abundance.

In another verse, Krishna says, “Mam Eva Ansha Jiva Loke, Jiva Bhuta Sanatana”. All the living entities are my eternal fragmented parts. Therefore, we are possessed with same qualities as that of the Supreme. The message is clear. We are not merely combinations of matter. We are all unique. We were individual souls in the past, we are individuals now and we will remain individuals in the future.

Lastly, Krishna demands us to respect this individuality; for this is Him, His part. However, constrained and trapped in the conditioned life of this material world; the Supreme Lord doubts, despite birth in human form, would we elate ourselves to a level of consciousness to respect life. He says, “Sa Mahatma Su-Durlabha”. It is only a rare soul who realizes Krishna Consciousness. But those who do, they get past this cycle of birth and death.

We should take lesson, Krishna has provided enough strength to every living being, a unique capability, exclusive thinking and incomparable feelings, distinct ways of offering a unique flavour of love to Krishna that no one else in existence can offer.

Let me end with a quote which I received some time back – “Diversity is not an accident; it is the signature of the Infinite”.
