There is a complete change in the political scenario of Tamil Nadu, which none of the even most celebrated or experienced psephologists could sense or predict. Actor turned politician, Vijay aka Joseph Vijay, won the maximum number of seats in the 234 member assembly and became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. 

This is surprising in many ways, even to the cinema-crazy state of Tamil Nadu. Vijay had not been supportive of any Tamil Nadu or National political parties except one, once a DMK sympathizer. He became its arch rival in politics, and most of his accusations and barbs are thrown on the ruling DMK only before the elections. 

Well, he missed the majority by a slender margin, and the other parties extended their support, and today Joseph Vijay is the Tamil Nadu CM. 

He stunned the public by his courtesy visits to all his opposition party leaders houses, especially to the house of former CM, Mu.Ka Stalin. He didn’t stop with that but visited many other small and other party leaders too. This gesture of him is very much appreciated by one and all. 

How Vijay, the popular star achieved this amazing success? 

That is indeed a very important question. In recent years, Vijay had been the most loved star hero in Tamil cine world. Though a few of his films flopped at the box office, that didn’t affect his career or hero worship. He was also the ‘darling’ of kids who are below ten years. 

He is the dream man of the young girls, middle- aged to old women, and the idol of youth. 

From the year 2021 to 2026, there are many youngsters who are first time voters, call them Gen Z or anything, and millennials, he is their favorite star. His policies are nothing new and more or less the same that of DMK, except for the money he is going to pay to the public varies a little. It is said that even the kids influenced their grandparents to vote for ‘Vijay Uncle’. Unlike the earlier Chief Ministers, he comes in typical corporate attire.  

For him, to be honest, there is no big opposition in the assembly now except DMK, and others are his supporters only. 

A marathon change had taken place in the Tamil Nadu political scenario. How Vijay will walk with Victory and his position as the CM during the coming five years is to be seen.
