Narendra Modi & His Lieutenants

A new Chapter in the Indian history is written on 26th May 2014 at the forecourt of the Presidential Palace as Narendra Modi took oath along with the council of ministers, his lieutenants.

Never before post independence such a huge gathering of 4000 Whos Who Indian Public figures in this form was witnessed by Indians esp when it comes to Political development in the Country. The grandeur in the way it was done right from the invitation to the SAARC counterparts; a step in the right direction to know each other or inviting important personalities across cross-sections of people from India as was seen in the swearing-in or the high security cover that was planned.

This clearly sends signals that each one has a role to play in rebuilding this Modern India as has been articulated by Modi last which I touched in my last article on Vote of Masses for Modi Tsunami.

What seems to coming in a way is the radical change for sure in the way the Lieutenants were chosen and sworn in without compromising on anything that may be cynical.

It was an absolute charm to see how this team comes with a mix of people finding representation from across Indian states given their public background and stature. The team has a very interesting blend of young and veterans, a blend of a farmer, lawyers, Doctors, Media, Lecturers, Banker, Columnist, Defense chief all in one team. Gen.(Retd.) V K Singh & Smriti Irani are an interesting addition to watch out for in particular.

Expectations are skyrocketing from the citizens with each fine day and till today in last couple of days atleast right signals are being sent by the Captain of Ship in the form of Narendra Modi.

What would be interesting to note going forward is how the Lieutenants will discharge their duties at one end while Modi leads from the front.

Citizens of India have every right to feel the Optimism around and dream of a Strong, Prosperous and Inclusive India.
