Ordinary Two - Timer in Dilli

When people were chasing the small time thief who ran through our colony at dusk, ‘he’ was only a by stander;
When the thief was finally caught, ‘he’ was there in the fore front to beat him black and blue!

"He" was quick to recognize the old time acquaintance somewhere in the front of the long queue waiting for the metro;
‘He’ stopped to say hello to the acquaintance, but had become part of the queue by the time the train came!

In the morning I saw ‘him’ having tea with the attractive, but slightly squint eyed, steno in the canteen;
At noon, ‘he’ was at Andhra Bhavan, for lunch, with an ever smiling, fair complexioned, Punjabi lass;
In the evening, I saw him buying ice creams for a lady covered in a glittering, red sari and two small kids, at the C.P lawns!
