My favorite books of 2018

START WITH WHY by  SIMON SINEK

An incredibly relevant book for us as educators - as we unravel the mysteries of
life and the universe to our children …. Something that is often missed – for e.g .
“Why Chemistry” , “ Why History” … are questions that the teacher and student
must ask themselves, and find answers as they study the course…

PRISONERS OF GEOGRAPHY  by TIM MARSHALL

Again, an outstanding book that explains how the politics, economy, culture of
important regions and countries of the world are intricately linked to its
geography - through the ages - Read about Africa particularly --- it’s fascinating!!

THE FOUR by SCOTT GALLOWAY

An insightful, revealing and if I may say so, scary book , of how much of our daily
life is shaped by the Big Four in our lives …. It’s also a delicious book ... Scott
Galloway is funny, irreverent, not afraid to use expletives, and as a Professor of
Brand and Marketing of a leading American University, unafraid to say it as he
seems it …… must read …. Why Apple is not about a phone …. But about the
“Brand” people must carry ….

PHYSICS OF THE FUTURE by  MICHIO KAKU

How the world that we live in, is being shaped and transformed by technology,
and what are the new breakthroughs just around the bend. Again, so relevant for
every educator – it’s a must read – so that we can just about keep pace with our
children’s information and of their world ! …And it’s very easy to read!
