I am a geoscientist (MSc Applied Geology from University of Roorkee, PhD from Rajasthan University) retired from the Geological Survey of India wherein I conducted geological mapping and mineral explorations in different parts of India. I was associated with the discovery of three mineral deposits for which I received National Mineral Award-1994. I worked as consultant for a few years after retirement. I wrote about 30 research papers, and many technical articles in Hindi periodicals. Besides, I am writing articles related to earth science, geo-archaeology and minerals on Facebook. Seeing some of my articles/ papers Shri V.K. Joshi, who writes on Boloji.com, suggested me to contribute on this website. My hobbies include travelling and photography. I am regularly posting one photograph daily since 2013 relating to nature at our home.
