Atul Kohli is presently working as Director (G) in Geological Survey of India (GSI) and is engaged in supervision of geoscientific projects of Geotechnical and Geohazards Management, Landslides/Slope Instability etc. After M.Sc. (Applied Geology) from Kurukshetra University (Haryana), obtained a P.G. Diploma in Environment and Sustainable Development (PGDESD) from IGNOU, New Delhi, followed by PhD in Engg. Geology from H.N.B. Garhwal University (A Central University), Srinagar (Garhwal, Uttarakhand), Had field experience in above disciplines in parts of Western Ghats, Konkan, Deccan Upland Plateau, Northwestern Himalayas (Parts of Himachal and Garhwal Himalaya). In addition to writing professional reports, co-authored a book on Landslide Studies and published several articles in select journals, conference proceedings etc.
