Pradip Mondal was awarded with JRF in English by UGC in 2013. He obtained his Ph. D degree from Visva-Bharati (India) in 2021. He is an Assistant Professor of English at Lal Bahadur Shastri Govt. P. G. College Halduchaur, Nainital (affiliated with Kumaun University, Nainital, India). His areas of interest include Modern American Poetry, Postcolonial literature, and speculative fiction. He has published more than 20 articles in UGC-CARE-listed and other peer-reviewed journals, besides contributing chapters to 7 edited books till date. He presented a few papers in national and international seminars. A few of his poems have also been published in anthologies (including Wives: Poems, published by Hawakal) and literary e-journals like Muse India. He authored Dealing with Dilemma: An Existentialist Study of Select Poems by William Carlos Williams, Robinson Jeffers, and Theodore Roethke (2023). His edited book Dystopian Deliberations: Essays on Dystopian Fictions and Films is forthcoming from Atlantic Publishers, New Delhi. He also writes review articles in journals. He is an ardent supporter of Greenpeace India. He has a great penchant for thriller movies.
