Lovingly Yours

The sprinklers rained circular in the green lawns of school
She had often played there.
She had often criss crossed
To reach the other end without getting wet
But today she was nervous
For once for first
She was in Love
The wind swirled her tunic and mind
And shy, she had been
She made her way
Immaculately vulnerable
She walked with her pride
After all she was so young.
So beautiful
So enchanting
The purpose the journey
All were new
And before she knew
He held her hand
For a moment for once
Not knowing
Her First
His last.
But little did they know
The fate was criss crossed for times to come.
