Though both of them were very talented artistes, but none of them were my favourites.

Nevertheless, I've liked quite a few songs composed by Alokesh Aparesh Lahiri (known to us as Bappi Lahiri) and the same goes for Hema (Lata) Mangeshkar. Hema was her birth name that was later changed to Lata by her parents. Though she's not my favourite singer but some of her songs (solos + duets) are my favourites.

My favourite female singer has always been Asha Bhosle and my favourite music director has always been her late husband R.D. Burman. Both of them made a brilliant musical duo.

This month, Bappi Lahiri aged 69 and Lata Mangeshkar aged 92, left this world to rest in peace forever....

Many of their fans are remembering them with their loving tributes to them. I also went down memory lane and revisited those songs that were beautified by them.
