Last year during our visit to India, we stayed in Niranta Airport Transit Hotel.

It's located at Terminal 2 of Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

It's very convenient and easy to access because you don't need to get out of the airport.

It's suitable for those domestic and international air travellers who are waiting for connecting flights but the airport transit time is so long that one needs to check into a good hotel for some good food, refreshing showers and some restful sleep.

Niranta Airport Transit Hotel is a non-smoking four-star hotel with 24 hours room service.

What I liked about the hotel was its delectable food, cosy and comfortable bed and hospitable customer service.

But I didn’t expect to be given a windowless room with no outside views. There was air-conditioning and artificial lighting but I prefer hotel rooms with windows that can be opened to let in fresh air and sunlight and of course, offering some nice views of nature, greenery and the sea. Mumbai is a coastal city but my windowless hotel room didn't let me see the sea. Moreover, the artificial lighting in the room was low and in that dimly lit room I could see some dusty and grimy areas with spots and stains. Perhaps this is such a busy hotel that the staff don't get time to do proper cleaning as the demand for rooms could be higher than their supply because of the hotel's convenient location inside the airport. Nonetheless, being a four-star hotel, they should also give due importance to cleanliness. Hence, my rating of this transit hotel is 3/5. I would return to this hotel if I ever need an overnight stay in Mumbai international airport but I won't be able to stay for more than a day as I dislike windowless rooms.
