I stumbled upon this Quote in one of the National Newspapers.

Men might talk about women's liberation, but they are actually chauvinistic. - John Abraham (Bollywood Actor)

A great and very humbling self-realization by this handsome man.

This Quip by John Abraham couldn't have struck me at a more fated time when that hapless victim of Delhi Gang Rape had lost her battle with life.

Yes, she died that day. (29/12/12)

My prayers and wishes are with her friends and family. They must be missing her as she has left them with so many bitter-sweet memories....

Such gory events really shake me as I'm the mother of a daughter and I would always want to protect her so it scares me as this world is so full of such heinous atrocities.

Though I wonder if that rape victim is better off now, at peace with herself, being relieved by death from her horrendous agony, as compared to those many, millions of victims of Rape in this world who have to live out their harrowing experiences mentally, emotionally and physically till the last day of their life as Rape is something which has a lifelong impact on one's thoughts, feelings and actions....

This poem on the aftermath of Rape, I wrote very recently, seeing all the furore and the scores of news items being published in the media about the Delhi Gang-Rape.

This has also been recited by Hardik Vaidya, one of my PH Readers.

He's got a good diction and pronunciation and I must say he's brilliant in recitation.

For those of you who are Bongs, let me suffice it to say: Durdanto Kobita Abritti Hoyechhe

As for my thoughts about good men and bad men, here is a poem that questions how will the good men protect their women from the bad men.
