I am a humble poet whose g/grand father came from Kashmir, wealthy tea plantation owner. He came to Guyana in the 1830's worked at the sugar plantations of Guyana. I was born in 1942 in Guyana, taught schools for over 30 years. Came to the USA (Manhattan) in 1969 and then to Canada in 1972, I have 2 sons and a loving wife.

Name: Naraine Datt known locally as Raj because they named me Rajkumar Persaud growing up. Up to now my friends and ex-pupils call me "TR Raj"

History: Now (from Real Estate) a retired poet with 5 books of poetry to my credit: 1) A Lonely Voice, 2) Drink from My Calabash. 3) A Garden of Happiness, 4) Mankind is Not Very Kind, and 5) Roraima (This was Done With 5 Other Poets). My first novel "the Berbician" is also ready to be published.
