Dr. Sovik Mukherjee is an Assistant Professor in Economics in the Faculty of Commerce and Management at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (India). He holds a PhD from the Department of Economics, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He is currently a Fellow (Hon.) of the EuroMed Academy. His profile features in the “Top 30 Most Influential Young Economists – 2022” list published by the Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE).
He specializes in energy economics & geopolitics, applied microeconomics, econometrics, and economics of the social sector. He has contributed extensively to edited volumes and ranked peer-reviewed journals of national and international repute. He is currently one of the Editors of the Journal of Innovation in Applied Natural Science and an Editor at the Forum for Global Studies, India.
His membership in professional bodies includes being a member of The Econometric Society, Doughnut Economics Action Lab, Young Global Economists Society (One of the First Founding Members of YGES), Kolkata Bidhannagar Society of Academic Advancement (KBSAA) and life members of The Applied Economics Society (TAES), the Indian Economic Association (IEA), The Indian Econometric Society (TIES), Indian Accounting Association Research Foundation (IAARF), the Bengal Economic Association, and Alumni Association of NCE Bengal Chapter (Jadavpur University), among others. |
