Dr. Alavala Gavar Raju (AGARA) is a well-known rationalist who has been actively involved in combating superstition in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for over four decades. His contributions include conducting legal awareness programs through the Legal Services Authority, contributing to the Citizen's Charter, published 'Bahujan Warriors', 'Bharatha Rajyangam' and collaborating with other scholars on the translation of the Hindu Code Bill for Telugu University, Hyderabad. Presently working as General Secretary to the Dhammapada Philomath Society, spreading message of Buddha.
