Domestic violence and bruises

Let me not sleep

Women tortured, abandoned,

Forced to take to streets

To suicidal paths,

Betrayed, cheated, swindled

And their cries and shrieks

So deafening....

I fail to sleep

Raking me badly,

Splitting me apart

Domestic violence,

The bruises on her face.
