A Journey That Lives On

On the soft wings of my Dreams
Gliding past meteoric beams
Gaping wide-mouthed as my eyes sparkle in gleam
Every milestone new and divine to a destiny unforeseen

Every star that unwrapped into my choicest gift
Grabbing every one of them on my journey so swift
The stars that seem so unlimited shrank to fit a fist
As my Greed grew more to fulfill life's long wish-list

As dreams unfolded into slumberous reality
I was still drifting through the galaxy of Life
Where every star unwrapped into a bright new day
And I lived through it wanting more and more

Life grew shorter and the longing to live bigger
Soon the day dawned bright when the journey came to a standstill
Moments stalled as stars faded into space,
When suddenly erupted bright light from nowhere

My eyes closed in its Brightness
I was swallowed whole and soul
When I opened my eyes I journeyed,
In another galaxy through and through.
