Miracles of Jesus

p5411-1.png
The cripple at the pool of Bethsaida
could never reach the water when it was stirred
by the angel of the Lord, so he remained uncured.

Then one Sabbath day, Jesus walked up to him,
and he regained his feet when Jesus summoned him;
then he walked away in new-found freedom.

When the priests demanded an account from him,
he couldn't rebut rabbinical argument:
all he owned was that he could walk, who once was lame.

If there is one thing each miracle story
reveals to us as a generality
it is the testament that marks its veracity.

In the wavelength of everyday experience
Jesus's ministry is a science;
and if miracles occur, they're facts, they're actions.
