Dear,
Our togetherness – potion is love or understanding?
How should I ascertain my feelings
After spending this stretch of
Long years with you.
Two perceptive strangers we were
Defending our precious thoughts
A small spark had many a times
Flared up argument and row
Fallacy never chanced upon our life
And so here we are, happy and agile
I understood - love begets understanding
But it's understanding which binds love
It is so fashionable to say
‘my husband is very dominating’
Remember the day I requested you ‘please dominate me’
You replied, "Oh my precious…
When ‘understanding’ reigns ‘domination’ bows out!"
The space you have given me
I have flourished
I have learnt to respect myself
As I have seen you adoring me
Your charm is so contagious
People around you have become
Wonderful human beings.
I understood - love augmented our bond
Understanding will keep us going a long way away….
With love.
