From deep within a well
you hear someone scream
It's a broken voice
never consistent --
can't recognize, who he is

You turn away unsure
How can you help someone
when you don't know
what he wants
who or where he is?

You are not blind but
there is dark in there
and your hands
are not a ladder

Surely, he will fall silent
after some time
You can go on looking
for your heights
and he will turn to his depths

But, you can always reassure him:
Dig, dig, dig till you reach the bottom
You will sure find yourself.
