Induction Cooktops – A Revisit

I am a very strong advocate of the use of Induction Cooktops in our kitchens. I have already published several articles on this website. The most recent ones are listed below.

In this brief article, I am focusing on an additional safety feature. This feature concerns the safety of the vessel used. Today, a small mishap happened. We kept some water in a saucepan to boil and

forgot about it. All the water evaporated, and the base of the vessel was overheated. However. The built-in safety feature sensed the high temperature and switched off the device. That way, the damage was only superficial (see the picture above), and we could bring the vessel back to its original condition. Just a little scrubbing was needed. See the picture below.

Here, it is worth noting that if it were a different heating device, an electric hotplate or a gas stove,  the saucepan would have been completely damaged or melted and, in turn, would have damaged the hotplate or the stove burner.

In my earlier articles, I have listed about twelve good reasons for using induction cooktops in our kitchens. Through this paper, I have added an additional good reason.
