Theme: Attraction

Beyond the Perimeter

Lulled by the murmur of the sea
and fanned by the cool breeze,
your cute eyes soon closed
when you rested your feather weight frame
on my not so soft left shoulder…

As if a fantasy
or a dream at rest,
I could hear notes of melody
wafting as if from a bird
sitting in my heart’s restless nest

Your silken locks
as chains of enchanting charm
arrested my whole being,
and with a sudden start
when you got up
I felt guilty,
‘Was my breath loud
to wake you up, my dear?’

‘No, but how long
in this state I am here?’
‘An hour or two’
‘You mean two hours I troubled you?’

‘No, it was like a moment.
The cloud you saw in that corner
has not reached overhead yet.
It was all joy, my pleasure, so sweet I felt,
in love can there be any regret?’

You blushed.
Before your lips uttered sorry,
I buried them in mine in a hurry.
In the absence of the moon
the sky to its perimeter
was by then turning dark and starry!

Comment Splendid is your understanding, too, Rupradha. When eyes are beautiful, one need to see beauty, and when lips are sweet, sweet words need to be uttered. I adore your eyes and lips!! Love.
