The First Cry

The first cry
spreads wide smiles,
the first cry
spreads joyous tears,
the first cry
spreads glee of delight,
the first cry
spreads triumph and cheer.

the first cry
gives reason to unite
the first cry
gives cause to abide
the first cry
resurrects many lives
the first cry
gives a reason to thrive.
