She sauntered in
dressed in her best
the true diva
they looked at her
enviously.

She soon peeled off
like an onion
layers of skin -
pancake makeup
she had called it.

The whole process
took a few hours...
her sisters watched
her neat technique
in complete awe.

When she finished,
her face revealed
the rare beauty
of a baby's skin
but was it hers?

Her young sister
wanted to check
if it was still
artificial
pancake makeup!!
