A Resurgent Bengal

Do I see a resurgence of Bengal today?
We have seen frustrating decades.
But one should have a micro and macro view
of the last few centuries of Bengal.

Bengal went through a reneissance
coming in contact with Europe,
and especially England.

The society mutated
to throw up stallwarts.
But alas, it jumped in the bandwagon
of interested groups in bravado.
And what did it see?
It was divided.

Though rejoined later,
the power centre was taken away.
It lost hearth
and institutions got enthroned
by not so worthy.

It resulted in emaciation.

Today, after loosing everything,
it has but only to resurge.

Take the call.
And show the world
that a Tagore, a Rammohan,
a Vidyasagar, a Ramakrishna,
a Vivekanand, an Aurobindo et al
are no flukes.

Do we see a resurgence of Bengal today!
