Friendship

Even if life weren't so full of strife
And sorrow like a deadly knife,
I would not cease to ask from you,
A friendship that is good and true.

A friendship that is good and true,
Even if life weren't made so blue,
For friends like you are very rare
And of that I am well aware.

And of that I am well aware,
And so with you I want to share,
All pain and pleasure, joy and sorrow
Of each today and tomorrow.

Of each today and tomorrow,
Let me all your courage borrow
That to Him I may bravely say :
Lord I accept your Will and Way.

Lord I accept your Will and Way :
So may you too ever pray...
And in the battle field of life,
May you conquer every struggle and strife.
