Worst Dream Ever

Yesterday night
fell off to sleep
haunted by dreams
below and deep.

I saw a scarecrow
I saw a flood
I saw men and women
bathing in blood!

I saw a man
cutting his vein
I saw him crying and
screaming in pain!

It was dim
and a dark night
everything seemed murky
in the little light
yet he seemed familiar
so I moved closer
suddenly he looked towards me
with eyes all water
I recognized him!

He was more than familiar
he was more than sad
he was more than dear
he was my Dad!
