The Art or The Money

I have never acted.
Though opportunities came.
But I found the acts of rehearsing
exasperating!

Just to say a few lines
with appropriate tonal quality,
facial expression,
timing, the drama,
the exercise one has to go through
is ridiculous.

But still people want to be casted
for the money and fame in it.
Actors do not mind giving shots
for sixteen hours!
And they have to work
to keep fit.

I would be the last person
to do such a project.
So I do not grudge about
the money actors rake in.

But why do some actors
want to become producers?
Do they love the money
more than the art?
