Yesterday your Mom called,
I was completely enthralled,
But when she told you can’t come,
It made me so lonesome,
Your holiday has been cancelled,
Once more my prayers failed,
How I wanted to be with you,
On your birthday I needed you.
But as you can’t come, I am lonely,
As baby, day and night, I love you only,
But one nice thing she said,
Which made my soul elated.
She told me whenever she misses you
She thinks about me, it’s true.
I was speechless, I was spellbound,
I didn’t say it was also the other way round;
That when I miss you I think of her,
She is as lonely as me when you are so far.
May God have mercy on the wretched heart,
May we no longer have to stay apart!

Rupradha , Wonderful creation. When I was reading your poem a cuckoo was singing sweetly in a tree at my window .I felt as if it is you singing your poem to me in person.. your poem is so sweet and at the same heart wrenching. Loved it. May your prince find you soon or vice versa. I gather from you poems that you are lovelorn. I sing a hindi song for you. Chhod de sari duninya kisike liye...yeh munasif nahin aadmi ke liye..Thank you.
