Theme: Anguish

Injustice

Death is doing so much injustice,
It’s visiting someone who is very happy,
Someone who has a lovely family,
Her daughter is expecting soon,
Why death has to engulf all their joy
At such an auspicious occasion?
What will happen to the new born,
And her daughter and her husband?
This is absolutely not done.
When I want death to embrace me
Why doesn’t it ever come to me?
Nobody will even cry on my death;
Without hurting anyone’s feelings
I will leave this world forever,
I am lonely, no one loves me,
Why doesn’t death visit me?
It’s neither fair on her nor me,
Death is doing so much injustice!

Comment The long shadow of Death is a probe
That trots randomly around the globe
It has no eyes, none that you can see
And is impartial, not a jerk-knee

So why weep, or pray, begging it to come
To fill a void, when love leaves one numb?
