Whosoever knoweth the power of the dance, dwelleth in God.
Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Din ar-Rumi

Dance my brother, dance!
And rejoice in His grace and splendour.
He who comes to the dance
Brings with him his own song of joy.

Sing your song my brother!
Raise your voice to Him
So that He may hear your joy
And you may know His rapture.

The unbeliever watches on
But does not see your joy,
Does not see that he who dances
In His name is like the desert sand

That, lifted by the wind
Spins and climbs towards heaven,
Lifted by the dance of joy
It sings praise to Him above.

Like a spiral of sand it rises
Catching the light of His love.
Spin my brother spin,
Become a vortex in His name!

The believer knows the Truth
And that is why he dances.
The dance of Truth that delights,
That joins servant and master together.

Dance my brother, dance!
And rejoice in its grace and splendour.
Come to the dance and be joyful,
Ecstatic in His radiant love.
