I Owe You

When I was bedridden for a few days,
I felt so lonely, felt so deserted,
But that day when you asked me whether
I was taking medicines or not,
I wanted to tell you “I don’t need to;
Your care is my medicine,
Your touch is my healing balm,
Of all the wounds life has given me, baby”!

Through you I discovered what true love is,
Everything else seems baseless to me now,
Day and night I can see you, I can feel you,
Different images of us hover in my mind,
Life is so beautiful when blessed by love,
The world can’t take you away from me,
You are engraved in my soul, my heart,
I want to give you all my love, baby!

It has been two months since I’ve seen you,
Now I really can’t take it any longer,
I am dying to see you, spend time with you,
For how long can I live with fantasies only?
Your dreams arrive at the shore of my eyes,
But now I want to fulfill every dream of mine,
Your care, your love has brought me back to life,
I owe you all my love and all of me, baby!

Comment Once again a heart full of longings you pour out. You are right, love is the real medicine that cures one and not the medicine. Good write, Rupradha.
