Wherever corruption prevails,
The corrupt are much more active,
The system remains ‘systematized’
The honest turn inert and inactive.
Bribery takes a high, long stride
On the saddle of the rotten system,
The innocents are crudely run over
Their ideals have a postmortem.
They keep clothed in white attire
With an extra cap on their lost head,
The country crawls low with a bowl
For the children, starving and naked.
The best are rendered the worst of all
The worst do prosper in full swing,
An innocent heart lacks all conviction,
A tactful mind shrewdly robs like a king.
