Healing Kiss

My darlings have launched on voyages their own '
Time's quickly flown and they've swiftly grown!
Through this cruel separation, once again I sustain
The pangs of parenthood and childbirth pain!
Only, this time around my heart's being squeezed
And, by strange stirrings my loneliness is quizzed:
'Why aren't you happy in their happiness?
Why the bitter anguish, why the simmering sadness?'

Why, why, why? I hear my soul's desperate cry '
How come my Inner Being is so lifeless and dry?

'Because, my dear child,' I hear Him say,
'Your self-centered grief's taken you far, far away.
You are still 'a part' of the Whole, don't you see?
You've drawn yourself way too 'apart' from ME.
I've already filled the void they've left behind,
For my love permeates your soul, heart and mind.
Feel it! Treasure it! Rejoice in its boundless bliss '
I've blown away your sorrow with my Healing Kiss!'
