The Free Captives

Up by dawn and muttering in frustration,
Morning light means another gruelling day,
Rushed breakfasts and screeching tires,
As folks speed off to save the pay check!

The parking lots are full to overflowing,
And stores are packed with food and goodies,
Healthcare is provided round the clock,
And offices fully furnished and up to date!

Even then,
Daybreak brings sorrow,
And night time no comfort,
For they are captives but free!
