Let Heavens Loose...

The rain has now descended in torrents
hills look weak, stymied with time.
Let it rain, let it rain.
Let heavens loose,
thunderbolts create maelstrom.
The trees wither in brooding despair.
Let heavens loose.
We will talk, speak words of history,
tales and sanity.
Children will flower into life.
Elders will wane into deadpan feelings.
Let heavens loose.
The lakes will wither, mountains slide.
Earthquakes will be blasphemy.
Let us speak,
let us talk of concentric circles in sunshine.
Where were you that night
when thunder flashed across dark nights?
Where were you?
I searched a sharp antidote for mistrust.
I feared quaking skies your mysterious eyes.
I feared death.
I feared life.
If only you knew
that I searched you
then your tresses would disappear.
