Little Drops of Love!

Little drops of love make
Mighty ocean of togetherness
Love is like rain
It pours
Love is like full-moon light
It delights
Love is like sunshine
It lights up and warms hearts
And life-giving, Life-sustaining;
Makes life lively, cheerful and youthful!
When it is raining
The drops you collect
Is how you miss me;
The drops that miss you
Is how I miss you
We need each other
as we need air
We need each other
as we need water
We need each other
as we need food
We need each other
as we need sensual pleasure
So dear
Let's breathe each other
Let us drink each other
Let us have each other
Let us savor each other
Let us be cheerful
Blissful, peaceful,
Silent in Love,
Together...
Now, Ever, Always

Indeed, a delightful read. However, there is a whole tradition of not merely love poetry, but the exaltation of love as an ideal in poetry. The Beatles spelt it out in several of their songs, and they had a world-wide audience - this didn't end all war or crime. Why? It's because in the songs and the poems, one falls in love with the ideal of love, and mistakes this as the ease of loving: 'All you need is love.. ' (that's all). On the contrary, the exercise of love is a poetically flat experience, involving personal sacrifice, which explains its rarity in comparison to its popularity as an ideal.
