Theme: Love

The Dance Floor

Last night when I danced
And rocked the dance floor
There was passion, energy,
Excitement, a teenager’s feelings,
And an unbound desire
To wash away my solitude,
The sizzling bar, the young crowd,
The grooving with the rhythm,
Everything was magical,
Foggy yet tantalizing,
But with every dance step,
All I wanted was you.

Something was missing,
Yes, it was only you;
Wish I could dance with you,
Like the couples danced,
In an enticing way,
Holding each other in arms,
Wish I could kiss you
Like the couples did,
Sitting on the couch
And making out,
It made me lonely again
And I missed you like hell!

Comment I appreciate your thoughts Sharbaaniranjan Ji. Thanks a lot. Missing somebody is a state of mind and an emotional feeling and that don't make me Abalaa.. :) My love don't seek pity, it's divine and unconditional..

Comment Despite your sentiments, I would you rather be like the ballerina in the Getty image coming with your poem, instead of missing a somebody. Be the ballerina of the picture. If you missed somebody, I would rather you be Ardhanariswar! Do not be ABALAA.
