Blue sky becomes turquoise pincushion,
Studded with platinum pins.
Red rose seems like
Velvet erupting, From the earth.
A pretty face,
Seems like personification
Of moon.
Birds become harbinger
Of love,
Rain seems to wash away
Old scars
Monuments come alive
Retelling the tales of legends and heroes
Of the era gone by,
We get a glimpse of heaven
In the stormiest of nights.

Poetry,
a few words
Written from the heart
Sung for the soul
Turn Mundane into Majestic

The poem was written in May, 1999. The picture was taken in Chiang Mai, Thailand, 2011 at a meditation retreat.
